Strength Before the Storm is run by Gina, creator of Fit & Flourish. This page explains, in plain words, what happens to your details when you ask for the free checklist.

What I collect

When you sign up, I collect your email address. That is the only thing the form asks for. Signups are handled by MailerLite, the email service I use: when you press the button, your address goes straight to MailerLite, not to this website.

MailerLite also records the date and time you signed up and the internet address your request came from, so it can show that you asked to join and keep the list free of spam. It may also note whether my emails are opened and which links are clicked, which helps me see what is useful.

How I use it

Only to send you the checklist and occasional gentle notes about preparing for illness and rebuilding afterwards. I will never sell, rent or share your email address with anyone for their own marketing.

Where it is kept

Your email address is stored by MailerLite, which handles it on my behalf under its own privacy policy. Its servers may be outside Australia.

How to unsubscribe

Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you are off the list, with no questions asked. You can also email me at simpleaiafter40@gmail.com and I will remove you myself.

Seeing, changing or deleting your details

Email me at simpleaiafter40@gmail.com if you would like to know what I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted.

How the signup form works

The form on this site is provided by MailerLite. To show it, every page loads a small script from MailerLite. When a page opens, that script contacts MailerLite's servers, which receive your internet address and basic details about your browser and device. The script also saves a random visitor ID (called ml_guid) in your browser's storage, so MailerLite can recognise the same browser on a later visit. It does not contain your name or email address.

To stop spam robots from filling in the form, it is protected by Google reCAPTCHA. reCAPTCHA looks at information such as your device, your browser and how you interact with the page, and sends it to Google to check that you are a person. That information is covered by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Google may set its own cookies when the checkbox loads.

What this means for you: simply visiting the site shares your internet address and basic device details with MailerLite and Google. If you would rather not, you can block third party scripts in your browser, or email me at simpleaiafter40@gmail.com and I will send you the checklist directly.

The rest of this website

I do not add advertising cookies or analytics of my own. If you switch between light and dark mode, your own browser remembers that choice on your device. The fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your internet address when the page opens, and my web host keeps standard server logs for security.

A note on health details

Please only share medical details by email if you are comfortable doing so. I am not a health service and cannot give medical advice.

Changes

If anything here changes, I will update this page and the date at the top.
